JOVE BIG BAND SEDAJAZZ con Perico Sambeat y Sara Dowling
La Jove Big Band Sedajazz vuelve a poner en escena la energía y la frescura de una de las formaciones jóvenes más sólidas y personales del panorama jazzístico nacional. Integrada por veintitrés músicos, la banda nace del espíritu pedagógico y creativo de Sedajazz: un espacio donde aprender, compartir y crecer a través del lenguaje colectivo de la big band. Su repertorio combina estándares del jazz con arreglos originales que atraviesan el funk, el latin jazz, las bandas sonoras o el rock, siempre desde una mirada abierta, contemporánea y vibrante.
Para esta ocasión especial, la banda contará con dos invitados de excepción. Por un lado, el saxofonista Perico Sambeat, una de las figuras imprescindibles del jazz europeo, reconocido internacionalmente por una trayectoria que lo ha llevado a colaborar con nombres como Michael Brecker, Ron Carter, Dave Douglas o Lee Konitz, además de recibir algunos de los galardones más prestigiosos del género.
Junto a él estará la cantante Sara Dowling, una de las voces más destacadas de la escena jazzística europea actual. Ganadora del premio a Mejor Vocalista en los British Jazz Awards 2019, Dowling destaca por una sensibilidad única que combina la tradición del jazz vocal con influencias que van desde Fairuz y Umm Kulthum hasta Sarah Vaughan o Betty Carter.

Integrada per vint-i-tres músics, la banda naix de l'esperit pedagògic i creatiu de Sedajazz: un espai on aprendre, compartir i créixer a través del llenguatge col·lectiu de la big band. El seu repertori combina estàndards del jazz amb arranjaments originals que travessen el funk, el latin jazz, les bandes sonores o el rock, sempre des d'una mirada oberta, contemporània i vibrant.
Per a esta ocasió especial, la banda comptarà amb dos convidats d'excepció. D'una banda, el saxofonista Perico Sambeat, una de les figures imprescindibles del jazz europeu, reconegut internacionalment per una trajectòria que ho ha portat a col·laborar amb noms com Michael Brecker, Ron Carter, Dave Douglas o Lee Konitz, a més de rebre alguns dels guardons més prestigiosos del gènere.

JOVE BIG BAND SEDAJAZZ with Perico Sambeat and Sara Dowling
The Jove Big Band Sedajazz returns to the stage with the energy and freshness of one of the most solid and distinctive young ensembles on the national jazz scene. Comprised of twenty-three musicians, the band was born from the pedagogical and creative spirit of Sedajazz: a space to learn, share, and grow through the collective language of the big band. Their repertoire combines jazz standards with original arrangements that traverse funk, Latin jazz, film scores, and rock, always from an open, contemporary, and vibrant perspective.
For this special occasion, the band will be joined by two exceptional guests. First, saxophonist Perico Sambeat, a leading figure in European jazz, internationally recognized for a career that has led him to collaborate with names such as Michael Brecker, Ron Carter, Dave Douglas, and Lee Konitz, in addition to receiving some of the most prestigious awards in the genre.
Joining him will be singer Sara Dowling, one of the most outstanding voices on the current European jazz scene. Winner of the Best Vocalist award at the 2019 British Jazz Awards, Dowling stands out for a unique sensibility that combines the tradition of vocal jazz with influences ranging from Fairuz and Umm Kulthum to Sarah Vaughan or Betty Carter.
